Using information obtained from half the Negro students (about fifty) at the University of Michigan in 1939-1940, considers economic, academic, social and health adjustment problems.
Analyzes available data on thirty-six known Moslem (sic) families, and compares with group similar except for religion. Concludes that the cult offers some solution to these problem-bound families, but doubts its long range survival.
